About me

Dear family,

my name is Emma Terschueren and I’m 18 years old. Currently I am visiting the final (13th) grade of a German highschool. Main courses are Oecotrophology (nutricional science/dietetics), English and German.

I live in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony.

Since a long time I have the wish to gain experience in another country as an Au Pair. People call me reliable, respectful, polite, honest and kind. I love children and I’m creative in how to care for and entertain children.

At the age of 17 I made my drivers licence. In the meantime I was able to gain plenty of driving experience.

During my drivers training as well as part of the rescue swimmer training (DLRG = German equivalent to American Lifegard Association) I did successfully a course in first aid. I also took part in a special babysitter training including first aid for infants. 

At home I do cooking from time to time. I’m able to prepare meals without cooking instruction but also like to do more complicated meals using an instruction. I’m also proud of my baking results, reaching from christmas cookies and birthday cakes to German or Italian bread. 

If necessary I can do parts of the housekeeping, such as doing the laundry, vacuum-clean, doing the daily shopping. Even for the pets I can care as I have a dog and a cat at my parents home.

My favorite hobby is diving. This is the TOP 1 reason I’m heading for your country. 

I take care for my two cousins (currently 9 and 11) since 6 years. Coming summer 2014 I conduct the child care in an institution for extracurricular education (childs from 3 to 9).

Following the Au Pair, where I hope to get advanced experience with children, I’m going to start the education as pediatric nurse. Finally I’m going to study human medicine.
